![]() ![]() Also, can we talk about Charlie going back to New York for her? *tears*. ![]() Unlike the Hallmark Christmas movies that are mentioned, Nora stays, at heart, a woman who loves the big city. Buman said, Emily is a dominant force in the world of romantic comedy and we feel so lucky to bring to the screen a story that has already delighted so many on the page. Emily Henry did a great job at preserving Nora’s personality throughout the book. I appreciated that Nora didn’t stay and live with her sister and Charlie in Sunshine Falls. Like a good ‘ol enemies to lovers, the banter was amazing (and so was the spice). ![]() Not to mention I was on the edge of my seat most of the time and that’s saying something for a contemporary novel. ![]() Even with these multiple characters and storylines, the book didn’t become muddy like others do. The character development of every single character was *chef’s kiss*. This book has so many dimensions to it, and between Nora being a workaholic, Libby trying to be her own person and Charlie feeling like he’s not good enough, I believe that anyone can find something special and something they can relate to in this book. A woman who on the outside is cold and ruthless but in reality, she is working hard to build a stable foundation for her, her sister and her sister’s family. Book lovers tells a tale of the “unwanted” woman. I haven’t read a book quite like this in a long time. ![]()
